Vista Renews Maintenance Contract with Edmonton Police Service

February 18, 2015 - Vista Telecom Networks, a leading provider of infrastructure and maintenance services for broadband wireless telecommunications, won a three year maintenance contract with Edmonton Police Services (EPS) back in March 2010. The contract was extended in subsequent years and has recently been renewed for another 2 years with an optional third year.

EPS is a leading and progressive police force that effectively leverages technology to enable and empower staff to better serve the citizens of Edmonton. The reliability and security of this network is paramount in providing continuous effective policing and support services, ensuring that Edmontonians get the responsive and effective service that they expect and deserve. The contract requires Vista to maintain the EPS wireless point-to-point backhaul network connecting satellite offices and stations with EPS headquarters. Vista ensures that radio equipment, cabling, transmission lines, antennas, antenna towers, and power systems are all operating as they should to provide continuous data connectivity for EPS. In addition, Vista is on call 24/7/365 with a crew dispatched within 2 hours for any Priority 1 Trouble Tickets.
